As you can see, my braidlocs are slowly but surely turning into dreadlocks. But, there are still a lot of plait formations in there… which isn’t bothering me at all. I like that the loose hairs are at a minimum right now and have found that shaping/smoothing my nails before washing or manipulating has helped reeduce the snagging od hairs out of my locs.

The picture below shows the current fuzzy texture of my hair and the fact that some plaits are firmly in place. The fuzz does look really weird to me, though. I think that when I use thicker oils, dust and other small particles tend to bond to the fuzz and create a dull look. So, I just try to keep the hair moisturised and use oil sheen when there is dullness that I do not like.

Below, you’ree see that the portion of my hair that was interlocked looks almost like mature locs. I don’t plan on pruning anytime soon to get rid of the fuzz but I’m hoping that some of the fuzziness goes away.
