About Some of the Ingredients
CYCLOPENTASILOXANE –This chemical is relatively safe to use within the product it’s in. It is used for its ability to lubricate, waterproof, and bring shine to things. It allows the make up to appear more life like,
and less dry. Cyclopentasiloxane is a silicone, in which, when applied, holds in the skin’s moisture and keeps the skin from drying out. Also, it is highly flammable so be careful.
DIMETHICONE – This medication is used as a moisturiser to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly, itchy skin and minor skin irritations.
CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE – A Lipid (triester) composed of glycerin, caprylic & capric fatty acids. It is based on saturated even-numbered, unbranched natural fatty acids of vegetable origin.
PARFUM / FRAGRANCE – Just a fragrance I suppose. Who knows what’s in that.
BENZYL SALICYLATE – As a fragrance material itself, it gives a lasting quality to perfumes, as well as a faint balsamic odour. Benzyl salicylate is a white, crystalline powder and has a faint balsamic note.
BENZYL ALCOHOL – Benzyl alcohol is produced naturally by many plants and is commonly found in fruits and teas. It is also found in a variety of essential oils including jasmine, hyacinth, and ylang-ylang.
HEXYL CINNAMAL – A common additive in perfume and cosmetic industry as aroma substance. It is found naturally in theessential oil of chamomile.
PHYLLANTHUS EMBLICA FRUIT EXTRACT – Malacca tree, or amla from Sanskrit amalika, is a deciduous tree of the family Phyllanthaceae. It is known for its edible fruit of the same name.
CARROT OIL / BETA-CAROTENE – The oil has a woody, earthy sweet smell and is yellow or amber-coloured to pale orange-brown in appearance. From the carrot plant, pressed carrot seed oil is extracted by cold-pressing the seeds of the carrot plant. The properties of pressed carrot seed oil are quite different from those of the essential oil
LIMONENE – Limonene is common in cosmetic products. The main odour constituent of citrus.
The product is superbly lightweight while maintaining it’s highly moisturising capacity. Whether used as a daily scalp or hair oil or deep hot oil treatment, this product substantially:
- Increases softness of hair (Yes, your locs can be soft and spongy)
- Moisturises scalp and hair for longer periods than some other oils
- A little goes a long way so lasts much longer than many bottles of larger quantities
- Makes hair extremely silky
- Increases shine and lustre of even locs
- Does not cause build-up and I can really use it everyday without issue
This product is fantastic. I can’t really think of anything bad about it. Truly, I can’t. It is fantastic.
