I was at a Loc event for Beautiful Earth Natural Hair Haven when I received the Loc Love Butter in a gift bag. Uhm… best find ever!!!

Asherlee Naturals Loc Love Butter

Asherlee Naturals Loc Love Butter (Official Packaging)

Claims: Intensely moisturise you locs with this butter blended with oils and conditioning properties. This powerful moisturiser penetrates through locs in order to give you that softened and conditioned feel you want. Formulated to lessen build up. Please keep refrigerated to prevent melting.

Ingredients: Herbal Infused Coconut Oil, Shea Butter, Mango Butter, Sunflower Oil Olive Oil Avocado Oil, Castor Oil, Provitamin B5, Honey, Peppermint Oil, Tea tree Oil, Rosemary, Lavender, Vitamin E Oil, Fragrance.

Directions & Information: Spray hair with plain water or Asherlee’s Leave-in Spritz then take a small amount of product in your hand (relative to hair length). Rub hands together & allow the butter to melt, then do a squeezing motion on the locs vs. rubbing to allow the product to go into the loc. Good for free naturals too. A little goes a long way.

REVIEW:  This product melts into your hair and leaves no white residue.  If you use a clarifying shampoo once a month (which you always should), you don’t have to worry about build-up.

The product also softens your hair and that has significantly reduced the superficial breakage near the root of my locs which resulted from breaking during interlocking.  Additionally, I don’t really need to use a conditioner weekly with this project. I rub it into my hands and apply to damp or misted hair and it works like an oil moisturiser. Just don’t apply it in clumps or loads like you would a regular moisturiser. Apply it more like an oil and you’re good to go.

The Loc Love Butter also works very well as a light gel and doesn’t flake – even after days of use. So, I tend to use this to smooth my hairline then apply a scarf to set it for 15-20 minutes. However, it doesn’t give a tight hold, so it’s not for those with tight curls who desire a super slick look.

The Asherlee Naturals Loc Love Butter is also good for the entire family. It can be used on both loose and loc’d hair. Because of the wonderful ingredients, you can even use it on your husband or son as his hair oil or on your daughter to do her two-strand twists.

A little goes a long way? Well, it goes a relatively good distance. LOL. I have a lot of locs to interlock but it does last a while and is definitely on par with it’s competing loc gels.

For me, the product gets 5 starts. I really can’t find a thing wrong with it. To buy it or for more information, go to their website HERE.

(5/5 Stars)

In case you want to see the texture of the product, I showed the product melting into my hand in my latest YouTube loc update video below.
